Tignes has a number of good places to eat. Here are a few to whet your appetite!

Presentations

Tignes is a large ski area that also links to Val d'Isere. Ski passes are not included in the price of the booking but our travel partners (Alpine Answers) will organise passes and bring them to the hotel before the conference starts.

Here are some suggestions for places to eat in and around Tignes / Val d'Isere.

As with all things on this website, just because they are mentioned here, doesn't mean that we endorse them.

Even More Information

Tignesnet.com

Tignes and its neighbouring resort of Val d’Isère make up the ski area known as the Espace Killy. The area hosted some of the events in the 1992 Olympics and offers some outstanding scenic views.

The most convenient airport is Chambery, situated 144 kms (2 1/2hrs) away by motorway and then mountain road. If you can’t get a flight to Chambéry, the next best options are Lyon (3hrs) and Geneva (3.5hrs) both of which are serviced by a number of the major airlines.

Each airport has it pros and cons. Chambery is closest but may close in bad weather and your flight be diverted elsewhere. Geneva has excellent bus/shuttle links to Tignes & Val, but finding the route in a hire car isn't particularly easy. Lyon St-Exupery has fewer links to the mountains, expecially midweek, but the journey is easier and quicker than from Geneva if you hire a car.

We arrange a transfers from Bourg St-Maurice to Tignes (and return at the end of the meeting). Please remember to select these at the time of reserving your place - we charge for this separately as the cost depends on how full the coach is.
